Where Animals Find Love, Safety & a Forever Home
Riza Animal Sanctuary is a peaceful refuge where rescued animals roam free, heal, and thrive. Come visit us and experience the magic of connecting with nature's most wonderful creatures.
A Place Where Every Animal Matters
At Riza Animal Sanctuary, we rescue, rehabilitate, and provide lifelong care for farmed animals in need. Our mission is to offer a safe and loving home to those who have been neglected, abandoned, and mistreated.
Riza Animal Sanctuary is home to over sixty animals who were never meant to have names, or stories, or a place to rest. Sheep, goats, pigs, donkeys, chickens, cows — each one was rescued from a system that saw them as products. Here, they are residents. Here, they stay.
Founded in Portugal in 2019 and powered entirely by volunteers since 2023, Riza is built on both compassion and conviction. We believe every animal’s life matters—and that changing how people see animals is how we create lasting change.
